In three Optimist boats the kids would sail. The real challenge was to teach their young minds the art of sailing. It was all about learning while having fun. Every week there would be a new subject. From treasure hunts to learn how to steer, to games on shore with floaties to create more understanding of the wind directions. After three weeks the kids could already sail on their own, the progress they all made in this short time is super impressive.

Women sailing club

In a 24ft monohull the adult sailing lessons would take place. Mainly with women, we went to sail in between the islands and practice how to handle the boat with teamwork. What is upwind, downwind and how do you get from point a to b? How do you tack and jibe effectively and what is the fastest way to get somewhere? All these important topics were taught during the lessons.
